Kara in Warlord-land, part 2 - Warlord 121-124

Warlord #121-1204 Cover Date:  September 1987 to October 1987 Release Date:  16th Jun 1987 to 15th Sep 1987 Warlord #121 (September 1987) The two women search the island but can't find the demon, and Kara is finally named here, they go back into the shrine to learn some learning machines to view history tapes about this demon (whose names I'm not even going to try and spell). You'd think Kara would have had enough dealing with VR considering her experiences in Showcase #99, but I guess this is an emergency after all! They find out how Arion defeated and bound the demon to the crystal before being awoken by the place apparently shaking. The sequence in the clear learning hoods has some very goofy facial expressions in what been so far been really excellent art so far. The demon is then quickly found awaking a local volcano to get the first part of a power sceptre it needs to complete its diabolic schemes. Warlord #116-120 Cover Date: April 1987 to October 1987 Release Date: 15th January to 19th May 1987 When following a single character, especially at best a B-lister, through their publishing history you occasionally end up in some weird little cul-de-sacs of their Universe. Such is the case with Kara and her appearances in Warlord. Now I'm not going to dive through 115 issues to get the feel for the comic so we're going to have to rely on what the internet tells me about this comic. Basically, Skartaris is the hollow world, a world inside the Earth itself (later retconned to be in another dimension), settled at some point by Atleanians. Our titular Warlord, Travis Morgan was a US pilot who crashed in the Yukon and stumbled into the place. His machinations aren't why we're here though we're here for Kara!
