Trinity #15-52!

Image
Trinity October 2008 - July 2009 Trinity is frustrating! Not the story which is a fascinating story. Basically, the Trinity (Superman, Batman & Wonder Woman) are banished to another dimension by some of DC's heavy hitters. With them gone history is rewritten so they never existed, instead the Justice Society stepped up and took the strain. But being an ALt Universe it's a little darker and l less hopeful. Thankfully Alfred, the best of all characters, collects together those characters who are connected to the lost heroes, an Eradicator style Super Girl (why it's not Power Girl I'm not sure), gangster Dick Grayson, Fox New style Lois Lane and librarian Donna Troy. They go on a journey to this dimension to find that the Trinty became god-like being that helps guide three alien species. It goes well until it doesn't and they withdraw to do god-like things for however long things have gone on this world! Through the journey the characters remember who they and th

What Matters Most - Aquaman #7

Image
Aquaman #7 What Matters Most June 1992 The comic is an amazing story of Aquaman recovering from a psychotic break after the death of his son. But that had nothing to do with Pee Gee's appearance, just showing that he's joined the current JLE, though he lacks the Tom Jones looks of that comic.

Sea of Troubles - Armageddon Inferno #2

Image
Armageddon: Inferno #2 Sea of Troubles May 1992 Again another cameo, and this time not quite so impressive, and if we're being generous a little Easter egg about the two characters. Wrong Flash, but Barry meeting Jay kicked off the multiverse, something at this point DC is still scrabbling to make everything fit into just one universe. And Power Girl worked alongside Jay on the JSA on Earth-2. Or y'know cute little scene of two characters talking and I'm reading too much into this...

Seeds of Doom - Armageddon:Inferno #1

Image
Armageddon: Inferno #1 Seeds of Doom April 1992 Alas, not that old Doctor Who episode, either of them, but a fairly standard four-part mini playing off of the bungled event that was Armageddon 2001! The plot is unimportant as the only appearance of Power Girl is about her on a team that fights the big bad of the mini (Abraxas) in a possible future. It's a lovely full-page splash, and it's nice that Pee Gee gets name-checked among DC's heavy hitters, but it's so inconsequential DC hasn't yet bothered to put on Infinity!

That Old Wedding Dodge - The Flash #61

Image
Flash #61 That Old Wedding Dodge April 1992 It's a well known fact that in this era Wally in his comic is a different character that he was in the JLA/JLE, and this comics shows that it also works in reverse when it comes to the rest of the team. Wally's mom is getting married and it seems that his invited all of his work collies, with most of the JLA/JLE (pre Breakdown breakup) in attendance. None speak, except for Kara here how offers to collect the cake for Mary West. It's one panel, we don't see her in action, and nothing is mentioned of it again, but it's sweet considering the antagonistic behavior between the two we've seen in the JLE.

All-Star Comics #71 - The Deadliest Game in Town!

Image
All-Star Comics #71 The Deadliest Game in Town! April 1978 In a rare moment of synergy between the main comic and Pee Gee's mini, we have this one panel that shows us that it's going on whilst she's dealing with the Symbioship. Not much else here, but it's telling of a time when everyone was very careful to make sure that everything lined up timeline-wise as much as they could.

Dial H for Hero #10 - Miguel and Summer Travel the Multiverse

Image
Dial H for Hero #10 Miguel and Summer Travel the Multiverse March 2020 The clue is in the title, our titular heroes are travelling the multiverse after the series McGuffin. We start with two pages of various Earth, back when we had more than one and less than fifty-three, showing Batman Beyond Batman (Earth-12), Gender Swap Supes and Bats (Earth-11), Earth One Wonder Woman and first of all Earth 2. So this would be the New 52 Power Girl home after her adventures in Worlds' Finest! Truth be told this series looks interesting enough that at some point I need to take a look at the entire book.

Action Comics #883 - Captain Atom, Chapter Five

Image
Action Comics #883 Captain Atom, Chapter Five January 2010 Captain Atom was in Justice League of America, and so was Pee Gee, This is a single-panel flashback, job done! That's what I thought though a little internet search showed it's actually from a Government Task force that he was on with Major Force, the villain of the issue ( Superman/Batman  #4) .
