JUSTICE LEAGUE AMERICA #95 - WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE

As penance for poor Ted, and I'm not saying I'm responsible, but the timing is suspicious, I return to the horror that is the 90s issues!

Really, I could do this as an extended image, Kara only appears on a page and a bit, but the hair shirt that is completist me can't help but provide the whole torrid tale!

We open on the weirdest full-page splash as an extrubient Bea (Fire) shoots green flames into the air, enjoying her date with Albert Rothstein (Nuklon). The date goes through the whole issue, and it's just them flirting. All good soap opera stuff and generally my catnip. So, enough of the fun stuff and onto the A-plot!

Things are off on the alien station that the League is now using, and Crimson Fox and Obsidian are currently investigating. Though they're distracted by Wonder Woman Diana is currently going through her biker short look!

We were going through a whole replacing the big three with other versions to show how much better we were with them! Obviously, the others accept her back into the team, just in time for a massive alien riot to break out!

Now our Power Girl page! Kara goes to feed her baby to find that her baby has grown into a toddler, and panicking, she goes to find the others, only to run into the alien riot. She's only seen in two more panels, running away from the confusing mess that is the riot. Of all the out-of-character Pee Gee's this is probably the worst. The confident, take-no-prisoners Kara that everyone seems to like is well and truly gone here!

Anyway, one of the random aliens dies, Diana shows it respect, and the other aliens declare that this is a ship full of the last of their kind aliens.

Meanwhile, a happy Fire goes to visit Maxwell only to find out that he's apparently died, though a page earlier with Kilg%re, though he's not named here.

And that's it!

  1. The completist me stopped reading this series in about a year, and it bugs me that I never finished it and I really don't want to!

    1. Oh it's a hot mess, and even DC want to admit it exists. For me it's a godsend as it's the kind of mess that's good for content!

And really you're not missing much I promise!
